meet the founder

Jesse Samos Leaman is an award-winning Australian film director and the founder of Leaman Films, a production company focused on premium narrative, music video and documentary work.

His debut short film Lorne, starring Guy Pearce, premiered at the Palm Springs Film Festival, toured internationally and received multiple awards before being released on Omeleto, where it gained over 270k views. His follow-up film Mad Martha, now streaming on SBS On Demand, continued that success with awards for direction and cinematography.

Jesse has directed music videos and documentary projects for artists such as ARIA-nominated Masked Wolf and acclaimed singer-songwriter Didirri, with his work reaching tens of millions of viewers and earning recognition from the Australian Directors Guild and international festivals.

Alongside his film work, Jesse, known to many as Juicy, grew up in the music and events scene, creating work for live shows, festivals and major brands including the Australian Open, Tennis Australia, Cotton On and Louis Hanson.

Through Juicy Leaman, Jesse brings that same cinematic approach to the content world, producing branded films, event coverage and campaigns that are bold, energetic and full of life.
